Dr. Fady Charbel is head of the Department of Neurosurgery at UI Health. Dr. Charbel is an internationally recognized clinical expert, researcher, and educator focusing on the most complex neurosurgical disorders including, stroke; brain aneurysm; cerebral blood flow metabolism; and complex brain tumors.

He is the developer and co-inventor of the Intracranial Charbel Micro-Flow Probe^® flow-measurement tools (Transonic Systems Inc.) and NOVA^® flow-analysis system (VasSol, Inc.). He currently holds eight patents, and he has produced over 200 scientific presentations and over 150 publications.
