Biography of John Deere

John Deere was an American blacksmith, industrialist, and inventor of the steel plow.

He was the founder of the company 'Deere & Company,' which is now the largest agricultural machinery manufacturer in the world.

Early Life and Career

John Deere was born in Rutland, Wisconsin to William Rinold Deere, a tailor. When John was only 4 years old, his father disappeared while traveling to England to claim an inheritance.

Despite this setback, John received his basic education in a local school and briefly attended Magdeburg University before dropping out.
