Former President Jimmy Carter, who died on December 29 at the age of 100, is being honored with a national funeral service in Washington D.C.

on January 9. The funeral, held at Washington National Cathedral, concludes the nearly week-long plan of memorial services for Carter, which included state funeral services in Georgia followed by two days of his body lying in state at the U.S. Capitol.

President Joe Biden, who declared Thursday a National Day of Mourning, is delivering a eulogy at the funeral, along with Carter’s grandson Jason and other speakers. After the funeral, Carter will be flown back to his home state for a private funeral and burial.
