Michael John Douglas (born September 5, 1951), known professionally as Michael Keaton, is an American actor and former stand-up comedian.

He has received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. In 2016, he was named Officer of Order of Arts and Letters in France.^[1]

Keaton gained early recognition for his comedic roles in Johnny Dangerously (1984), Beetlejuice (1988), and The Dream Team (1989).

He gained wider stardom portraying the title superhero in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). Other notable roles include Night Shift (1982), Mr. Mom (1983), Pacific Heights (1990), Much Ado About Nothing (1993), Jackie Brown (1997), Jack Frost (1998), RoboCop (2014), and Dumbo (2019).
